What happens when explanation reaches its edge?

Dialogues I begins with a deceptively simple problem: the structures that help us understand experience can quietly become the self and world we mistake for reality. The series follows that problem through consciousness, language, perception, symbolism and contemplative practice.

Its sources are deliberately varied. Buddhist philosophy meets alchemy, psychology, biology, myth and personal experience. The aim is not to force them into a single system, but to notice what each map reveals, where it becomes speculative and what remains when it no longer holds.

The later episodes bring the inquiry back into the body and ordinary life: boredom, work, family, compassion, restlessness and the collapse of spiritual striving. Each episode page contains the video alongside a detailed introduction, themes, chapter guidance, glossary, source notes and related viewing.

Self, symbol and the constructed world

The opening movement examines the person as process, prayer after hope, the grammar of perception and the use—and danger—of symbolic maps.

Recognition, transmission and effort

These episodes turn from dramatic images towards direct guidance, perceptual construction and the recursive effort by which the self tries to release itself.

Embodiment, return and not-knowing

The closing movement leaves increasingly little room for a merely intellectual escape. Insight meets boredom, work, family, the body, compassion and the majesty of what cannot be explained.
